Mel Gibson ‘The Resurrection of The Christ’ A True Story Needing To Be Told

Mel Gibson 'Resurrection of Christ' A True Story Needing To Be ToldAs soon as this article goes up people are going to get angry and say ‘How dare a Christian ministry talk about Mel Gibson, he said such awful things about his ex-wife, etc…’ Well, everyone has said awful things when they feel they have been pushed to the edge. Leave Mel Gibson alone.

What you all can’t deny is that Mel Gibson has a God given talent for storytelling and moviemaking.

Remember that amazing moment when “The Passion of the Christ” was released? It was a debated topic for months. Some found it overly violent, some were astonished Hollywood and Movie Theaters would release a Christian movie, others angry of the depiction of the story – and so on and so forth.

Well, Mel Gibson is coming back with a sequel about the “The Resurrection of The Christ and he is using his friend, and Believer in Jesus Christ, Randall Wallace who helped write “Braveheart” and “Heaven is For Real”. Randall Wallace studied religion at Duke University and is excited to tell the story of Jesus Christ.

“I always wanted to tell this story. The Passion is the beginning and there’s a lot more story to tell.” Mr. Wallace goes on to say, “The evangelical community considers The Passion the biggest movie ever out of Hollywood, and they kept telling us that they think a sequel will be even bigger.”

What atheists and scoffers like to say is that Jesus Christ is a myth, there is no historicity to him and that he was a story conjured up by fanatical followers. Well, that’s not true and Randall Wallace understands that. There is more proof for Jesus Christ than the scoffers want to admit!

After Jesus Christ was resurrected from the dead, he walked around Jerusalem with his disciples. This isn’t just the ‘Holy Bible’ declaring this truth… This is secular historians documenting this truth!

Matthew 28:16-17 “And when they saw him, they worshiped him: but some doubted. And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.”

The resurrection of Jesus Christ was incredibly newsworthy that even the city of Jerusalem was talking about it. In Luke 24:17-18 a man by the name of Cleopas was traveling with Peter to the village of Emmaus. When Jesus Christ approached the believers and asked “What manner of communications are these that ye have one to another, as ye walk, and are sad?

Cleopas responds to Christ, “Art thou only a stranger in Jerusalem, and has not known the things which are come to pass there in these days?”

Christ answered, “What things?”

As Peter and Cleopas entered the village of Emmaus, they asked Christ to stay with them that night before travelling onward to Jerusalem. As Christ blessed the bread they were having for dinner, he vanished. Peter and Cleopas were in such shock from the very start when walking with Christ, that it wasn’t until he left that they realized they were walking, talking and eating with Jesus Christ.

Luke 24:33 – “And they rose up the same hour, and returned to Jerusalem, and found the eleven gathered together, and them that were with them, Saying, The Lord is risen indeed, and hath appeared to Simon. And they told what things were done in the way, and how he was known of them in breaking of bread. And as they thus spake, Jesus himself stood in the midst of them, and saith unto them, Peace be unto you. But they were terrified and affrighted, and supposed that they had seen a spirit. And he said unto them, Why are ye troubled? and why do thoughts arise in your hearts? Behold my hands and my feet, that it is I myself: handle me, and see; for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye see me have.”

Jesus Christ was seen by over 500 brethren in Christ before he departed us to be with our Father God in Heaven (1 Corinthians 3-7). I hope Randall Wallace and Mel Gibson do indeed make this film something remarkable to watch. Something that will force scoffers and unbelievers to re-read history and come to the truth that Jesus Christ is God in the flesh and dwelt on Earth to save mankind from damnation. There is no better historical, biographical, documentary love-story humans could ever make. The Holy Bible is beyond fantasy… It is reality.

This isn’t the only Christian based film Mel Gibson and Randall Wallace are working on. Later this year “Hacksaw Ridge” will be coming out. It is a biopic of a highly decorated war medic during WWII who is a Believer in Jesus Christ.

Let’s hope and pray that the Lord Jesus Christ uses everything going on in our country as a catapult for Revival.

Thank you Mel Gibson and Randall Wallace for doing something this “daring” in a world that considers the Truth in Jesus Christ as a threat to society.
