True Independence Found When Christians Seek Leadership Positions in America

True Independence Found When Christians Seek Leadership Positions in AmericaAmerica should remember the undeniable truth that we are founded as a Christian nation. Pastors and Christian leaders suggest we (the Body of Christ) stay out of politics. The Founders warned that America would head towards tyranny if our freedoms weren’t protected.

Christian men were encouraged to run for political office, maintain the educational system, and promote Christianity in culture. The Founders warned us that if anti-christ secular humanists were to ever gain power of government and society, that we would head towards despotism and ruin.

How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! How art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations! – Isaiah 14:12

If Christians and Pastors in America don’t heed the warnings of the Founders of this country, we are allowing Satan to destroy and weaken this nation. Read the words of John Witherspoon, signer of the Declaration of Independence:

I entreat you in the most earnest manner to believe in Jesus Christ, for “there is no salvation in any other” (Acts 4-12). If you are not reconciled to God through Jesus Christ, if you are not clothed with the spotless robe of His Righteousness, you must forever perish – John Witherspoon (Served New Jersey in the Continental Congress and member of the clergy to sign the Declaration of Independence)

“The Founding Fathers were not enemies of Christ despite what current sources may claim, in fact God was so important to the Founding Fathers that when they met in Congress in September 1774 they all knelt down and opened in prayer.” – David Barton

The idea that Christians should not be involved in civil government is an outright lie. King David, Solomon, Joseph and Josiah were amazing men of the Bible in powerful positions of Government. When righteous men reign – God blesses the nation.

When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice: but when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn. – Proverbs 29:2

The Founders of America believed the federal and state government are a direct representation of the morality of the people and a reflection of God’s judgment. When righteous men are in position of authority the nation prospers.

I believe that there is one only living and true God, existing in there persons, the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost… and that at the end of this world there will be a resurrection of the dead and a final judgment of all mankind when the righteous shall be publicly acquitted by Christ the Judge and admitted to everlasting life and glory, and the wicked be sentenced to everlasting punishment – Roger Sherman (Connecticut statesman and signer of the Articles of Confederation, Declaration of Independence and Constitution)

There is so much more that can be said about Independence Day in America. Our history is rich! It is our duty as Christians to seek leadership in this country. We must follow the footsteps of the Founders and plead to God of the Holy Bible to come back into this country.

If we don’t go back to our Christian heritage, America will turn into a godless country, where wicked men rule the people with an iron fist.

I couldn’t agree more with the above. This is a good summary of what I have been trying to explain to my family. Although I won’t be long winded about it, for the reasons stated above I believe that Independence Day celebrations are largely a mockery of what our founding father’s fought so hard and scoured the Scriptures to establish. Our Independence Day attitude should be one of repentance for squandering away what so many brave, godly people fought to give us.
    Thank you!
